About US
Master Shree Krishna Shahi is a renowned sound healer and singing bowl expert, hailed as a true master in his field. With a deep-rooted passion for the healing power of metallic bowls, he has become a pioneer in traditional Nepali singing bowl sound healing.

Growing up amidst the vibrant cultural melting pot of 1970s Kathmandu as a struggling young man, Master Shree was profoundly influenced by the infusion of Nepali traditional cultures, religion, and the spiritual quests of the Western youth in the Himalayas. Inspired by this unique blend, he embarked on a lifelong journey of exploration, dedicating himself to understanding and harnessing the transformative qualities of singing bowls.

One of the most significant influences in his life was his adopted Tibetan grandfather, Tashi Lama. Tashi Lama, a nomadic salt trader and shaman, visited Nepal once every year from the plateaus of Tibet crossing high mountain passes. He practised faith healing and used drums and a few metal bowls for traditional therapeutic purposes. These encounters during his childhood ignited a passion within Master Shree, shaping his life's work.

In the 1990s, Master Shree established a small shop in the close-knit community atop the Swayambhu Stupa mound surrounded by a small forest in the western side of the Kathmandu valley. This humble beginning became a profound and life-changing space for him and his family. Alongside selling singing bowls, he delved into deep practice, teaching, creating new techniques, and collecting rare and special bowls. Living in this sacred site for many years, he observed the cycles of life, witnessed the transformation of Kathmandu from an idyllic town to a bustling city, and gathered stories of people, pilgrims, and the natural world.

Over the course of three decades, Master Shree has travelled extensively captivating audiences worldwide with his sound healing workshops, concerts, and teachings. With his former working partner, Master Santa Ratna Shakya, he helped gain global recognition for the profound knowledge and contributing to the popularisation of traditional Nepali singing bowl sound healing methods around the world.

Despite his international acclaim, Master Shree leads a humble and simple life, guided by the principles of compassion and unconditional goodwill taught by the Buddha. His unwavering dedication to the philosophy of not causing harm and actively assisting those in need resonates deeply within his practice of sound healing. Through his teachings and pioneering spirit, he has touched the lives of countless individuals, guiding them on a path of healing, harmony, and self-discovery.

Currently, assisted by his son Sujan Shahi and daughter [Daughter's Name], who share his deep passion and hold the intention to preserve and continue their father's legacy, Master Shree now works independently as a solo teacher, rooted at the foothills of the sacred site of Swoyambhu, sharing his profound knowledge with eager learners. This family bond extends beyond the realm of teaching, as the father, son, and daughter team occasionally embark on special workshops, inspiring participants with their collective wisdom and expertise. In quieter moments, Master Shree takes joy in spending time with his two-year-old granddaughter, Noelle, cherishing the beauty of family and passing on the essence of his years of hard work to the next generation
